Parking and Transportation:
The Staples Center has over 20,000 parking spaces
within a 10 minute walk of the arena, this includes
both surface lots and garage parking. For most events,
arena parking staff are available to help facilitate
parking in Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention
Center lots. Rates generally range between $15-25 for
automobiles. Prepaid parking is also available for many
events. Lots will open 90 minutes prior to events and
tailgating is prohibited in all arena parking lots.
Public transportation is also available to the Staples
Center. The Los Angeles Metro Rail Pico Station is
one block from the arena. This station is serviced
by the Metro Rail Blue Line. Metro bus transportation
is also available, with frequent stops at the arena.
Area:
The Staples Center is located in downtown
Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles Convention
Center is located next to the arena. Also adjacent
to the arena is the under construction LA Live development.
The new entertainment destination will feature a 40,000
square foot open-air plaza, entertainment venues,
restaurants, retail space, hotels, broadcasting studios,
apartments and condominiums. The development is scheduled
for completion in late 2009.
